Dr. John Conway Ropp III
is a physician partner at Palmetto Family Medicine and Senior Care in Hartsville, SC. He is also a hospice physician for Agape Care and is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is Past President of the South Carolina Medical Association and served on the SCMA Board of Trustees for sixteen years. He volunteers at the Darlington County Free Medicine Clinic and is an elder at Hartsville Presbyterian Church. A graduate of The Citadel, the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, and McLeod Family Medicine Residency program, Dr. Ropp has also completed an MBA in Healthcare from George Washington University. His most recent business-related project is MedBook, a patient controlled personal electronic health record. He loves teaching Sunday school and playing golf. The best part of his day is coming home to Caroline and catching up with their five children: Elizabeth, Johnny, David, Mari Grace, and Catherine.
Dr. William H. Long
is a physician partner at Palmetto Family Medicine and Senior Care in Hartsville, SC. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
He received his undergraduate degree at The Citadel and served in the United States Navy. He went on to pursue his MD at University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
His residency training was completed at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.
Dr. Long is active in the community, being involved with several nonprofit organizations, and in his local church, where he serves as Sunday school teacher and deacon.
His interests include sports and outdoor activities. He is married to Melanie and they have a full house with five children and three dogs.
